Davide Merlino

Davide Merlino gratuated in Classics Percussion with a degree in Education in 2007; in 2010 he won the International Competition PercFest, and he is present in the “Vibraphone Jazz” on the charts and Jazzit Top Jazz Awards in 2011. It vaunt important collaborations in the classical realm (Cameristi del Teatro alla Scala, I Virtuosi Italiani, Shlomo Mintz, Alondra de la Parra, Marco Tenth ..), Jazz (Sabir Mateen, Sainkho Namtchylak, Achille Succi, John B Arnold, Alberto Mandarins, Tino Tracanna, Roberto Olzer, Michael Rosen, Michele Gori, Pasquale Mirra, Brian Quinn, Beppe Caruso, Ramberto Ciammarughi. .), electronic (Crookers, Bienoise, Boosta_Subsonica, Bjorn Torske_Royksopp ..). He took part in most recordings, including “Nest of giants” with the Mu, album recorded at Studio Sundlaugin in Iceland, produced by Birgir Jón “Biggi” Birgisson (Sigur Ros producer). His compositions are repeatedly broadcast by national networks RAI and plays several times live on Radio Tre RAI. He is an independent music label founder of the Floating Forest Rec. He holds the chair of Percussion at schools specializing in music (Middle and high schools), and collaborates with the Teaching Course of the Conservatory L. Marenzio in Brescia.
