Paolo Cimmino began his career coming Orchestra Member of the San Carlo Theatre of Naples and he has performed as a percussionist with it for more than ten years. In the course of this period, besides his passion for classical music, he studied Indian music and jazz.

Currently, Paul teaches percussion at the Conservatory “G. Martucci” of Salerno Ed ethnic music elements and frame drums at Musicateneo, University of Salerno.

He is invited regularly to keep master classes in Italy and whole Europe at prestigious academies including the Royal College of Music, the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, Anglia Ruskin University in Cambridge, the Franz Liszt Hochschule fur Musik in Weimar and More.

Paul also has collaborated with numerous Italian and foreign artists. (New Society of Folk Song, Lucio Dalla, John Psathas, Christos Rafalides, Zohar Fresco, Ivana Bilic, etc.)

It has an intense concert activity in Italy and abroad performing with Daniella Ganeva in resonance duo Framed (marimba and percussion); With Ghatam Suresh in Clay Duo Drums India (Indian percussion, frame drums and piano); and the percussion quartet “MediTamburi”, which he is also the Founder.

Passionate educator, Paul wrote a large amount of educational material on “Tambourine” and his technique of including the acclaimed “A new way of playing tamburello” (ed. Nota di Merito), “5 tamburello solos” and ” La Ritmica per Tamburo” (ed. Poggiani)

For the publishing house “Norskmusik Forlag” he Posted “hidden tears” for marimba and tambourine “and” The Overtaking “for SET UP.
