Gianluca Saveri

He graduated in percussion instruments with the maximum of the marks, he committed much of his career to
chamber music as the founder of “Tetraktis Percussioni” quartet of Perugia. The group performs since 1993, nationally and internationally and has several CDs to date: “Millennium Bug “,” Drama ” and ” Liaisons Dangereuses ” ” Piazzarama “, with original songs composed and dedicated to Tetrakti by some Italian composers such as Giovanni Sollima, Riccardo Panfili, Carlo Boccadoro, Tonino Battista, Ramberto Ciammarughi and others. We can find “Tetraktis Percussioni”t in the “Safari” CD by Lorenzo Jovanotti.
In November 2013 it was presented by Decca Records on “Inventions” CDs in which are protagonists the soloist Alessandro Carbonare playing clarinet and l’ensemble Tetraktis Percussioni. In 2016 this will be a work record for the Brillant Classic dedicated to authors who in the Twentieth century, composed important music for percussion instruments: Varèse, Chavez, Powell,Harrison, Cage, Reich. The ensemble has collaborated with Alessandro Carbonare (clarinet), Alessio Allegrini (Horn),Philipp Geist (video artist), Ramberto Ciammarughi (jazz pianist) and he’s invited to important festivals,Italian and foreign associations: Lingotto Musica, Amici della Musica, Teatro Regio in Turin, Rai Radio 3, Gesellschaft für Kammermusik in Lucerne (CH), Ferrara Musica, Musica Insieme Bologna,Filarmonica Romana, Società del quartetto di Milano, Ravenna Festival, Ravello Festival, Stresa Festival, Associazione Concertistica A. Scarlatti of Naples, American University. Gianluca Saveri was the 1st percussionist of the Mahler Chamber Orchestra under Daniel Harding (2002-2006), and was a member from 2003 to 2012 of the prestigious Lucerne Festival Orchestra under Claudio Abbado. The same has recorded for Virgin Classic and Deutsche Grammophon., For TV Arte, EUROSAT and other international broadcasters, playing in the most prestigious auditoriums. It was also directed by Lorin Maazel, Mstislav Rostropovich, Georges Pretre, Giuseppe Sinopoli, Riccardo Muti, Christopher Hogwood, Eliahu Inbal, Rafael Frühbeck de Burgos, Yuri Temirkanov, Antonio Pappano, Pierre Boulez, Gustavo Dudamel. Becoming suitable in numerous hearingshe has collaborated with the most important symphonic-Italian theatrical institutions: Teatro dell ‘Opera di Roma, Teatro Comunale in Florence,Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia in Rome, the Teatro San Carlo in Naples, Symphonica Toscanini, Orchestra Sinfonica Nationale RAI of Turin.
He played as a soloist, in pieces by contemporary authors such as Vinko Globokar, Giorgio Battistelli, Iannis Xenakis. He has collaborated with the actor Elio Pandolfi for musical theater performance. He performs in a duo guitar and percussion with the guitarist Emanuele Segre composition which they dedicated original songs composers as Riccardo Panfili, Ramberto Ciammarughi and David Short. He is professor of percussion at the Conservatory of Music D. Cimarosa of Avellino. Gianluca Saveri is active in the movement Musicians for Human Rights, performing with the Human Rights Orchestra conducted by Maestro Alessio Allegrini.
